Dear Mary, I am wondering if you ever allow for a 2-person TED talk? A friend in Tucson and I (in Flagstaff) would like to present on the upsurge of environmental sensitivities and its cyclical relationship to trauma. We would like to present together because we have complimentary but different personalities (a little “Ernie and Bert” team), and are both disabled by similar conditions. I would provide the science and the psychology, she would provide the humor and dramatic flare. We would both hope to provide hope, and an inspiration to action. Please let me know if this would be an application you would consider. Thank you!

  2. I would love the chance to speak about harnessing your creativity using techniques and strategies I have researched. From taking active breaks like Juggling, to focusing on a keystone habit like working out every day, we have huge untapped potential.

I would incorporate juggling, and possibly a bit of unicycling into my talk, to demonstrate expertise and engage the audience.

Looking forward to hearing back from you

Here is the speaker application – – I love juggling and look forward to reading your application.

  3. Hi there just wanted to give you a brief heads up and let you know a few of the pictures aren’t loading properly. I’m not sure why but I think its a linking issue. I’ve tried it in two different web browsers and both show the same outcome.

    1. Mary Reed says:

Thank you for letting me know that pictures are loading properly. I will look into it.

    Hello Tedx Tucson,

I would enjoy speaking about changes in the music industry, and how the flood of information people generate online is affecting the way people experience music.

For more on what I mean, please see an article I recently published online:

If I’m suggesting this in the wrong place, please know that I can’t find a working submission place elsewhere in the web site. I wonder if perhaps there is something that is causing my browser to not work correctly in the “Speak” section of this web page. I’d be glad to submit a more formal proposal elsewhere if needed.

    Thank you!

Unfortunately, the window to apply to be a speaker closed on June 30th. Are you on our mailing list?
It is the best way to keep up with what we are doing, and all call for speakers.

I believe that, first and foremost, educators need to teach students how to love to read and write. How to love to learn. Enthusiasm for a subject can be taught
I’ve been doing it for 15 years.
